Boutique Bon Choix features
The code in this version includes no visitor account, contact form, newsletter or payment function. It adds no advertising, audience measurement or click-tracking tools. Images, styles and text are served with the site; the pages do not call any external font or image service.
Search filters the guides in your browser. Your search text is not sent to our application or to Amazon. Checklist boxes stay on the page; Boutique Bon Choix does not save them in a database, cookie or local storage. However, the browser itself may restore some fields when you return through your browsing history.
Language and Amazon store
Your region and language choices are independent and stay in the page address. The Quebec choice uses Canada’s Amazon.ca links. The site does not locate you automatically or save these choices in a cookie or local storage. They do not change your Amazon account settings. Delivery and availability depend on the selected store and your shipping address.
Hosting and site access
The site is published with Sites in the ChatGPT environment on Cloudflare infrastructure. The pages are publicly accessible without an account or ChatGPT sign-in. Site administration remains protected by platform authentication and is separate from visitor browsing.
The access platform and hosting provider may process technical data needed to provide and secure the service, including IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and error logs. They may also use cookies for authentication or security. The absence of marketing tools in our code therefore does not mean that the infrastructure processes no data at all.
The providers manage this infrastructure data under their own terms. The site code does not set their log retention periods or processing locations, and the settings available to the operator do not specify a retention period or country for this particular site. Processing may take place outside Quebec or Canada; exclusively Canadian hosting is not promised. This limitation is separate from our email retention rule below. Links to Amazon and other sites
Amazon pages are not embedded in Boutique Bon Choix. They open only when you choose to click a link. Amazon links allow the browser to send this site’s origin (its domain), without the guide path or search text, to identify the referring site. Browser privacy settings may reduce this information. Other reference links suppress this referrer header. The destination site still receives your visit and may process information under its own policy.
Amazon links include this publisher’s tracking ID. Amazon may use this ID, cookies and information about your activity on its services to attribute qualifying purchases and calculate commissions. The site does not add a visitor-specific identifier or receive your payment details. Consult Amazon’s privacy information on its own site before browsing or buying there.
Responsibility and requests
The site is operated by Mario Gaudreau in his personal capacity under the Boutique Bon Choix brand. For privacy questions, contact Mario Gaudreau, site operator and person responsible for protecting personal information, at mariocshq@gmail.com. Use “Privacy — Boutique Bon Choix” as the subject and describe the information or correspondence concerned, including dates if you know them. You may request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent to an optional use, or make a complaint. Please do not include payment details, passwords or identity documents in an initial message.
Mario Gaudreau handles requests manually and provides a written response within 30 days of receipt. Before disclosing personal information, he may request only the details needed to verify that the request comes from the person concerned or an authorized representative. If a request cannot be fully granted, the response explains the reason, any information that must be retained and the applicable recourse. No form on this site claims to submit a request. For a question about a ChatGPT account or an Amazon order, use the relevant provider’s services.
If you contact us by email
Writing is optional. The site’s email link opens your email application without sending a message itself. Your email address, the message and any attachments you choose to send are then received by Mario Gaudreau to handle your request, reply and follow up on that exchange. Boutique Bon Choix does not use them to enrol you on an advertising list or sell them. Send only what is needed. Messages pass through your email provider and Gmail, the Google service used for the displayed address. See Google’s privacy policy ↗.
Email retention and deletion
The rule adopted for Boutique Bon Choix effective October 13, 2026 is to delete messages and attachments as soon as they are no longer needed to handle or follow up on the request, and no later than 12 months after it is closed. A request is closed once its handling and final response are complete. This is a maximum period chosen for managing this site, not a universal legal requirement or a description of past practices.
A legal obligation or a litigation matter may justify longer retention: only the information needed is then kept, for the required period. A deletion request is considered without waiting for the 12-month limit to expire.
Mario Gaudreau deletes these messages manually in his email service, with a monthly review of closed requests. The site does not read the Gmail inbox, schedule deletion or change its settings. This policy covers message copies under the operator’s control; it does not promise immediate erasure of backups or logs held by Google, the hosting provider or the sender’s email service. Their retention terms and mechanisms continue to apply.
Changes to the site
Adding analytics, a form, a newsletter or another service would require a fresh review of the data processed, the information given to visitors and the choices offered to them. This page describes only the features present in the current version.
